New addition to our PFAS system

Veritas Laboratory Services Ltd has updated its PFAS testing service with the purchase of a newest Agilent Multisampler.

This addition enables us to achieve even lower detection limits.

The new Multisampler uses a feed injection technique which enables the introduction of a large volume of organic sample onto an HPLC column without the associated peak splitting. The increase in height/area is not compromised as when using a convention flow through injection.

The chromatogram below shows the improvement in response of three PFAS compounds using the new Agilent Multisampler:

The peaks in BLACK are generated from a 5ul injection of methanol.

The peaks in BLUE are generated from a 40ul injection of methanol.

The increase in peak height/area has been measured to be approximately eight times for our entire suite of 49 PFAS compounds in waters and solid matrices.
