Trifluoroacetic acid (TFA) is gaining widespread attention due to its high concentrations in various aqueous environments.

In addition to TFA, other ultrashort-chain PFAS, (C1-C4) are becoming a significant concern.

These substances, which are more mobile and persistent than longer-chain PFAS, are not currently included in the UK PFAS 47 (now 48) monitoring suite.
However, they are increasingly recognized for their potential environmental and health risks.

VLS Ltd has the capability to monitor these short- and ultrashort-chain PFAS using its advanced Agilent 6495 LC-MS system, which offers unparalleled sensitivity for detecting even trace amounts of PFAS in complex samples.
